CRLL FALL RETREAT

I wanted to do this for a long time. My family has a Huckleberry Farm in the northeast corner of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. “The Farm” as we call it, was acquired in 1905 and has been passed down through generations to its current owners, my parents and aunts and uncles. It has two farmhouses on it. The first was built in 1811. The second in 1846. We erected a barn in 2002. We have held numerous family reunions and other events here, but since my aunt “Toots” died a while back, it has been a wonderful summer home and place of respite for the teachers and librarians, attorneys and lawmakers, engineers, businesspeople, servicemembers, and retirees in our family, and friends. It is a very special place for the Skerritt family, not least because everyone agrees that when you spend time at “The Farm,”, any stress you have just shrinks…
