Crooked River Mini Cars

It’s time for MiniCars! We’re going to do things differently this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but we still want to award all of our trophies to our racing Native Sons and Daughters! The MiniCar design contest will be done remotely. It was in last month’s Smokes, but we only got two submissions, so we’re extending the time for you to send in pictures of your MiniCars. The deadline for submissions is now Wednesday, October 7th. Please see the attached design contest rules for how to submit and contest rules.

MiniCar Races are going to be held on Saturday, October 17th at the Olmsted Falls Community Center Gym. We are going to be social distancing while still having the fun of racing our cars down the track. Unfortunately, this will mean only having immediate family attend, but we are also going to stream the event so you and family members can watch from home. We will race two cars at a time for several heats each, and then use the best average times from each division to determine who races in the Championship Round. We will send a schedule of times for your races a few days before the races, which will be from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. If you still need to purchase a MiniCar, or if you forgot your car number, please contact Mike Rossini at mikerochemist@gmail.com or text him at 40-263-7696.
